Daniel J. Hill Sr.'s Obituary: As written by his family and published in local newspapers 

A Celebration-of-Life Service for Daniel J. Hill Sr., 57, of Claridon, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Leroy Community Chapel, 12920 St. Rt. 86, Painesville. 

Dan died May 7, 2005, from injuries suffered during a collision while doing one of his favorite hobbies, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  Born February 6, 1948, Dan was best known for his passion for life.  Dan worked for Alltel for 28 years; he also was an accomplished businessman, as owner of Geauga Nuisance Control for 12 years.

Anyone who knows Dan knows that he made every trip a story.  They also know he loves Jesus Christ and followed him faithfully for over 33 years. 

Dan is survived by his best friend and wife of 37 years, Kathleen; sister, Carol Butler; brother, Tim Hill; sister-in-law, Darlene Hill; sons, Dan (Sarah) Hill Jr., and Gabe (Fiancée Nicole) Hill; and grandson, Jack.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. in Chardon. 

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Dan Hill - Sportsman Scholarship Fund through First Merit Bank, 376 Center St. Chardon, OH 44024.
